covers the maintenance, repair and management of medical equipment for NHS Hospitals and Trusts. Safeguarding both patients and users from any risk that may occur, whilst using medical equipment. EBME also covers services to the Ambulance Service and Community providers of Healthcare throughout the UK.
The medical equipment maintained by EBME varies in complexity, from items used for Life Support, such as ventilators, defibrillators, haemodialysis pumps, infusion devices to low tech items, such as flow meters, pressure mattresses and urine alarms, used throughout any UK hospital.

MHRA New Regulations And Update
As part of the ZES Director's role as Chair of the IHEEM Medical Device Technical Platform, he oversaw and advised the MHRA on DB2006 requirement updates and eventual replacement.
The IHEEM team provided significant improvements which led to a step change in medical device maintenance requirements for the NHS.
Version 1.0 was issued in 2014, with the latest Version 1.3 being issued in Jan 2021. The latest Version is available to be downloaded below:
